Gabriel Agius Pascalidis

Tutor for Woodwind instruments

The musical affection for Gabriel Agius Pascalidis all started from his grandfather John Vella who played the clarinet with various band clubs, and who encouraged him to start playing. In 2001 he started learning the clarinet under the tuition of Mr William Debattista with the Socjetà Filarmonika Sliema. He then continued his studies at the Johann Strauss School of Music with Mr Michael Pirotta, who led him towards obtaining the A.L.C.M diploma in 2016. He formed part of various ensembles and orchestras, namely the Euro Youth Academy Orchestra, the Junior College Orchestra and the Johann Strauss Clarinet Choir. Besides participating in various musical exchanges beyond our shores, Agius Pascalidis is also a founding member of the Four Winds Clarinet Quartet wherein he is the bass clarinettist. Along the years, he has also shown interest in a variety of instruments, particularly the saxophone. The latter sees him performing regularly as an active musician with local band Lara & the Jukeboys, as well as a session musician with a selection of local artists.
